A.K.A. : All in for Warren, Warren For ALL
Who: Everyone! Because we're all in this together. And we all need each other. If it matters to you that the racial profile of Harris county volunteers increases and maintains its diversity, please come!
What: We're getting together to collectively strategize how to grow Harris County volunteers for Warren with explicit attention to racial and ethnic diversity. Come to share, brainstorm, and make plans to take action with fellow Warren volunteers.
Why Focus on Race & Ethnicity: As residents of the most diverse city in the nation, we believe only a racially representative volunteer community can pave the way to victory for Warren in Houston. And while identities are complex and intersectional, we focus on race and ethnicity because of the central role it plays in American history, politics, and culture, and because of the (outsized) role it plays in shaping social and economic outcomes for many Americans. Thus, we believe the fight for progressive policies must attend to this particular dimension of Americans' identities.
